Artistic Orientation ― “It is the fascinating power of the artist to suggest, by his creations, that which inevitably escapes the eyes of the living.” Andr? Malraux Located in the historical heart of Paris, a few steps away from the Pompidou Center, the gallery presents a selection of artworks that proposes to shift our gaze to the inner world.Marked by the Far East, but open to all traditions, the gallery endeavors to promote promising young artists, who allow us to see, or foresee, what precisely is not visible.Gallery Metanoia opened it’s doors in October 2006 with a presentation of ‘New Mandala’ by painter and writer Jacques Brosse (1922-2008), prizewinner of the Acad?mie Fran?aise award for his lifetime achievement. Since then the gallery has organized numerous exhibitions, both individual and collective. The gallery has been named ‘Metanoia’ because this Greek term for ‘beyond understanding’, seemed best able to reconcile all spiritual traditions, as it regards the act of freeing the spirit from the confinement of discursive and discriminant thinking in order to allow a change of consciousness.
