http://oneandj.comNE AND J. Gallery was founded in September 2005 in Seoul as one of the first galleries to focus primarily on young contemporary Korean artists. Currently, the gallery represents a strong lineup of emerging and mid-career artists and has begun to show non-Korean artists in Seoul on a regular basis. The strength of its program was evidenced by the compelling group exhibitions the represented artists have participated in to date. Most recent exhibitions of note include: the Gwangju Biennale (2012, 2010 and 2008); Adelaide International (2012); Daegu Photo Biennale (2012); Incheon Women Artist Biennale (2012); Chaotic Harmony at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston; and shows held at the Spencer of Museum of Art; Nam June Paik Art Center; Artsonje; House of World Cultures (Berlin); David Roberts Art Foundation; Somerset House; National Museum of Contemporary Art; Gyeonggi Museum of Art; Seoul Museum of Art; the Mori Museum; the Singapore Biennale; the Asia Pacific Triennale; the Echigo-Tsumari Triennial; Officina Asia; and Samsung Museum of Art.Works from the gallery are in the permanent collection of the Spencer Museum, the Mori Museum, Queensland Museum of Art, Samsung Museum of Art, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, LACMA, the Hammer, the Hirshhorn Museum, Seoul Museum of Art, K-11 Art Project, the Burger Collection, Bank of America, UBS, and Fidelity Investments. The gallery will continue to serve as an important platform for the creative process in Korea. This year, the gallery launched a night program titled 1NJ629 focusing on film, video art, performance, music and design. The program allows the gallery to present a diverse array of artists that are not formally a part of the gallery program but provides a platform for a community of compelling appreciators of the creative process.
