ABOUTFor more than 30 years, Park Ryu Sook Gallery has been committed to introducing progressive contemporary art to both domestic and international market. Founded in 1983 by the eponymous art dealer, Park Ryu Sook Gallery is recognized as the pioneer of creating what is now a vibrant contemporary art scene in Gangnam area of Seoul. The gallery has contributed to establishing the careers of some of Korea’s most important artists, from the first generation of Korean modern/contemporary artists including Kim Tschang Yeul, Park Seo Bo, Chun Kwang Young and Kim Chong Hak, to today’s most promising artists including Kwon Kisoo, Lee Lee Nam, Lee Hun Chung and Koo Sung Soo. Consequently the gallery has been committed to promoting Korean contemporary art in overseas by participating in international art fairs including Art Basel, Art Basel Miami Beach, Art Cologne, Art Chicago, SH Contemporary, Art Basel Hong Kong and more. The gallery also has been introducing leading international artists to domestic audiences, providing opportunities to observe the current development in the contemporary art world. In 2007, the gallery opened its second location in Jeju Island. Moving its platform to a private setting, it focuses on setting a dialogue between contemporary art and domestic environment.East 1, Biotopia San 62-3, Sangcheon-ri, Andeok-myeon Seogwipo-si, Jeju, Korea
