STUDIO AKKA is
Recently established Milan(Italy) – Gumi(Korea) based contemporary art gallery, founded by Ho Jin JUNG.
The main aim of Studio Akka is to present and promote Korean artists in Italy, and to introduce promising Italian artists in Korean art market. The gallery has strong intention to broaden boundaries, participating several international art fairs like KIAF Seoul, LA Art Show in Los Angeles, AAF Brussels, MIA and AAM in Milan, as well as BANK and LINK in Hong Kong.
The gallery is also open for collaborations between different fields in different cultures, organizing not only art exhibitions but also frontline design events such as Fuori Salone in Milan – A Korean artist, Daeyoung Kang’s Sarpi Mosquito Invasion in Insectida Project during Sarpi Bridge – Oriental Design Week 2013 is one of the successful example of this approach.
Studio Akka coordinates limited editions of design products and objets d’art designed by artists, provides rare art supplies in each country between Italy and Korea, and help artists and design studios to find artisan manufacturing of refined workmanship.
Furthermore, the gallery offers workshops and art courses in new media with residency programs as well as art consultancy services.
